Position Summary

DayBreak Adult Daycare is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Care Staff I (DCS I) to support seniors and adults with disabilities in a structured, engaging, and supportive daytime environment. This role focuses on hands‑on care, participant engagement, and maintaining a safe, respectful atmosphere for all participants.

This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about caregiving and interested in growing within an adult day care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and supervision to participants throughout the day
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence and dignity
• Support and participate in group activities, social engagement, and therapeutic programming
• Observe, document, and report changes in participant condition or behavior
• Maintain accurate daily documentation in accordance with agency policy
• Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment for participants
• Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
• Promote teamwork and positive interactions with participants and staff
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Willingness to learn and accept feedback

Education, Experience & Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Preferrably a Nurse or Social Worker
• CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass background check and health screening
• Experience working with seniors or adults with disabilities preferred, but not required
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
