Immediate Opening: Occupational Therapist

Service Area: Chesterfield, Creve Coeur, Maryland Heights, and nearby cities.
The Role: You will be a key player in helping individuals with physical, mental, or developmental conditions to develop, recover, or maintain vital life skills. This role demands a patient-centered approach, enabling clients to perform daily tasks with confidence and independence. The ideal candidate will possess a holistic outlook and the ability to tailor the environment to the individual’s needs.

Responsibilities:
- Enhance clients’ quality of life by addressing performance in various life activities.
- Tailor occupational therapy treatments to individual client needs.
- Implement strategies to ensure safety and efficiency in daily living tasks.
- Educate clients on adaptive techniques and task breakdown.
- Evaluate and recommend modifications to clients’ living environments.
- Prescribe and instruct on the use of adaptive equipment.
- Support and train family members and caregivers.
- Monitor and document client progress and treatment efficacy.
- Provide consistent follow-up care.
- Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs).
- Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in occupational therapy.
- In-depth understanding of occupational therapy principles and methods.
- Competence with computer programs and creative media.
- Knowledge of ADLs evaluation tools (e.g., Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale).
- Ability to work with diverse personalities.
- Up-to-date on current treatment practices and a passion for professional growth.
- Professional conduct and exceptional communication skills.
- A valid Missouri occupational therapy license.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in occupational therapy.

- Proven working experience as occupational therapist
- Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy
- Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media
- Familiarity with ADL's evaluation tools ( e.g. Katz ADL scale, Lawton ADL scale)
- Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
- Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the profession
- Professional behavior
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Valid license to practice occupational therapy in Missouri.
- BS degree or greater in occupational therapy
