Job Summary: We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to bring their expertise to our patients’ homes. In this role, you’ll utilize your exceptional treatment plans and assessment skills to help patients achieve their goals. Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited college.
- Current license and Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association.
- Minimum of two years of experience in speech pathology.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver top-notch speech pathology or audiology services in line with the physician’s plan of care.
- Collaborate with physicians to assess and develop personalized care plans.
- Record and report client reactions and progress, ensuring optimal care.
- Educate and empower clients, families, and health team personnel on speech pathology techniques.
- Recommend and check hearing aids, ensuring clients have the best tools for success.
- Assess and enhance clients’ communication, cognitive status, and speech fluency.
- Provide education and training to staff as needed.
- Continuously evaluate and adapt care plans to meet clients’ evolving needs.
- Initiate and perform diagnostic, preventive, and rehabilitative procedures.
- Observe and report any changes in clients’ conditions promptly.
- Teach and counsel clients and families on home care procedures.
- Coordinate care plans and maintain seamless communication with other health professionals.
- Participate in client care conferences and in-service programs.
- Stay current with the latest speech therapy trends and knowledge.
- Prepare patients and families for a smooth and successful discharge.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Communicate effectively with clarity of speech and hearing.
- Review materials with sufficient vision.
- Operate personal computers and related equipment with manual dexterity.
- Safely lift, move, or maneuver necessary items with personal mobility.
- Function efficiently in an office environment and travel to various field sites.
- Adapt to varying home environments, from clean and neat to cluttered and challenging.
